 Objects
The following are the official incorporated objects of TakingITGlobal's Canadian legal structure:
- To provide opportunities for learning, capacity-building, cross-cultural awareness and self-development among young people through participation in activities, programs and projects that:
- Utilize technology to impact communities socially, culturally and economically;
- Inform them of opportunities available;
- Provide inspiration to realize their potential;
- Promote understanding of their challenges and perspectives;
- Connect to a virtual and physical network.
- To create opportunities for youth at the local level to share and learn from the experiences of youth nationally and internationally, thereby fostering sentiments of worldwide cooperation and the spirit of local and global citizenry;
- To increase mainstream recognition of young people as key stakeholders in decision-making processes;
- To foster greater collaboration between and enhance the effectiveness of youth-serving organizations;
- To purchase, take on lease, hire or otherwise acquire and hold lands or buildings, or any interests therein for the purpose of fulfilling the said objects;
- To receive, acquire and hold gifts, donations, legacies and devices subject to The Charities Accounting Act, and The Charitable Gifts Act.
